For the groceries market, shoppers remain cautious and are continuing to look for cost-saving strategies in their weekly shop. While this may be presenting a challenge for branded goods, private-label products are going from strength to strength.
It’s been reported that 54% of shoppers are opting to buy a large percentage of own-brand products, in order to save dollars. As private-label loyalty is on the up, we’ve spoken to a number of retailers about how this is impacting thinking on the branding and design of these items.
