Mobile Search for 2012

 

Hailed as the ‘year of mobile’ from the outset, as 2011 draws to a close we question whether marketers’ predictions were realised. Mobile search is one area that keeps cropping up in the press as an area to refocus attention on.

Reported mobile search statistics vary widely – in some accounts only 5.6% of UK searches are currently coming from mobile devices, while recent Google figures estimate that up to 44% of total searches for last-minute gifts and store locations will come from mobile this Christmas.
