IT's role in the growth of West Midlands businesses
Following on from last week's briefing on the East Midlands and its recent emergence as the fastest growing region in the UK, we decided to look at its westerly neighbour, which is snapping at its heels. Companies from the West Midlands feature heavily in the Sunday Times Deloitte Top 100 league table. Recent investment pledges from Jaguar Land Rover and BMW impressive vote of confidence in the region as well as the skills and capabilities of employees based there. We spoke to IT decision-makers at a variety of businesses in the region about the promising economic data, to find out to what extent their IT plans are affected.
