Security in the cloud

IT decision-makers can normally be split into two camps when it comes to cloud computing. On one hand, there are the sceptics, those who feel it's a risky, gimmicky rebranding of an old technology. On the other, there are those who believe it is the future, and that within a decade all companies will operate an entirely virtual infrastructure, with nothing hosted in-house. Recent high profile security breaches at Sony and Google, as well as outages caused by adverse weather conditions at Amazon, have led to questions being raised about the technology and how appropriate it is for the enterprise.
